Job Title: Quality Engineer Location: Sidco, Kakkalur Industrial Estate, Thiruvallur, Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹27,000 per month (negotiable based on experience and performance) Industry: Automotive / Precision Manufacturing Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through precise inspection methods, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 (TÜV) standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct quality inspection of forged and machined automotive components using tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and surface roughness testers. Ensure compliance with precision machining standards and customer specifications. Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including: PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) 7 QC Tools 5S Implementation Conduct and support internal and external audits as per IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 (TÜV) guidelines. Assist in root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities. Support continuous improvement initiatives across product and process quality. Maintain calibration records and ensure all measuring instruments are accurate and readily available. Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance within the automotive or precision manufacturing industry. Sound knowledge of quality management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001). Strong skills in metrology and interpretation of technical drawings. Proficient in preparing and maintaining quality documentation. Attention to detail with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
