Senior Machine Learning Engineer – LLM Evaluation & Task Creation | India Based We are calling applicants on behalf of a leading AI research team seeking experienced Machine Learning Engineers to support advanced LLM evaluation and task creation projects. This role is ideal for engineers with strong applied ML experience and a background in competitive machine learning or real-world model development. You’ll design, build, and evaluate high-quality ML tasks and datasets that directly power next-generation AI systems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role suited for senior engineers who enjoy deep technical work. Key Responsibilities • Frame ML problems for improving LLM performance and evaluation • Build, train, and optimise models across NLP, prediction, classification, and generative tasks • Run fast experimentation cycles and performance evaluations • Perform feature engineering, data preprocessing, and robustness testing • Fine-tune transformer-based models where needed • Maintain clean documentation of datasets and experiments • Collaborate asynchronously with global research teams Ideal Qualifications • 3–5+ years of machine learning experience • Strong background in competitive ML (Kaggle, DrivenData, etc.) • Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and modern ML frameworks • Strong understanding of modelling, optimisation, and evaluation • Experience with ML pipelines, cloud platforms, and experiment tracking • Excellent communication skills • Based in India Role Details • 30–40 hours per week or full-time availability • Fully remote and asynchronous • Long-term research-focused engagement Interview Process • Short technical screening • Paid onboarding (up to one hour) if selected Compensation • Hourly contract role • $21 per hour • Weekly payments through standard contractor payout systems We are an independent referral partner for this opportunity.
