About the Role We are seeking a skilled Network & Security Freelancer to support our enterprise clients in Surat. The role involves on-call technical support (both remote and onsite visits if required) for Firewall, LAN/WAN, Switches, Endpoint Security (EPS), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions. ⸻ Key Responsibilities • Provide on-call support for clients (remote troubleshooting and onsite visits as required). • Configure, deploy & maintain Firewalls (NGFW/UTM) including VPN, NAT, IDS/IPS, and rule management. • Install, configure, and troubleshoot L2/L3 Switches (VLANs, Routing, STP, etc.). • Manage and support LAN/WAN network issues for client environments. • Implement and monitor Endpoint Security (EPS) solutions. • Configure and maintain DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policies and tools. • Conduct periodic health checks, updates, and patch management. • Prepare basic documentation of configurations and interventions. ⸻ Skills & Experience Required • Hands-on experience in Firewall (Fortinet / Palo Alto / Sophos / Checkpoint). • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, etc.). • Expertise in L2/L3 Switch configuration (Cisco / HP / Juniper / equivalent). • Knowledge of Endpoint Security (Symantec / Trend Micro / McAfee / etc.). • Experience in DLP solutions deployment and management. • 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT Networking & Security. • Ability to provide timely on-call support (remote + field visits). • Certifications (Preferred): CCNA/CCNP, NSE, PCNSE, or equivalent. ⸻ Engagement Terms • Type: Freelance / On-Call Support • Mode: Remote support + Onsite visits in Surat when required • Availability: Flexible / On-call basis • Compensation: Per call / per visit / project-based (mutually discussed)
