Position: Billing Engineer Department: Civil / Projects Location: Ankleshwar Reporting To: Director Role Overview: The Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing bills for civil construction projects. The role ensures accurate quantity estimation, timely submission of client bills, subcontractor billing verification, and coordination with site teams for smooth project execution. Key Responsibilities: 1. Client Billing & Documentation Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) Bills and Final Bills as per project progress. Ensure billing as per BOQ, drawing, and contract specifications. Coordinate with clients/consultants for bill approval and certification. Maintain all billing-related documentation and records. 2. Quantity Estimation & Measurement Conduct site measurements and prepare Measurement Sheets (MBs). Cross-check quantities from drawings (GFC/IFC) and compare with site execution. Prepare quantity take-off (QTO) for materials and work executed. 3. Subcontractor Billing Verify subcontractor bills with site measurements and approved rates. Identify variations, deviations, and extra items, and process additional claims. Ensure timely processing and approval of subcontractor payments. 4. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and procurement teams. Resolve billing discrepancies and technical queries. Support management with timely billing reports and MIS updates. 5. Contract & Rate Analysis Understand contract terms, payment conditions, and BOQ specifications. Analyze extra items, rate justification, variation orders, and change requests. Assist in budget preparation and financial planning of the project. 6. Compliance & Quality Ensure billing activities are as per IS Codes, contract specs, and company standards. Maintain accuracy, transparency, and timely submission of all billing-related work. Key Skills Required: Strong knowledge of civil construction activities and technical specifications. Proficiency in quantity take-off, rate analysis, and measurement. Good understanding of contracts, BOQ, and tendering processes. Hands-on experience in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project/Primavera (preferred). Good communication, documentation, and coordination skills. Ability to manage deadlines and ensure billing accuracy. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering. 5–10 years of experience in construction billing (industrial/commercial projects preferred).
