About The Hind School The Hind School is the academic and training arm of The Hind ecosystem. It offers the Applied PGP in India Studies — a first-of-its-kind postgraduate program that combines academic instruction, field immersion, and research across India’s diverse regions. Our programs are designed for the next generation of scholars, practitioners, and changemakers who seek to understand India through its living systems — its people, landscapes, ideas, and institutions. Position Overview The Undergraduate Research Assistant role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, documentation, and delivery of India’s most original higher education initiative. Working directly with The Hind’s academic and research teams, Research Assistants will help shape the intellectual foundation of the Applied PGP by conducting regional research, developing case studies, and contributing to knowledge repositories that inform immersive learning modules across the country. This position is ideal for motivated undergraduate students passionate about India’s development, diversity, and global role — and eager to build hands-on research experience in an interdisciplinary setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct thematic and regional research across selected areas of India (North, South, East, West, and Northeast). Prepare regional dossiers covering culture, economy, history, politics, governance, and innovation. Support faculty and curriculum teams in creating case studies, lecture notes, and immersion briefs for the Applied PGP. Assist in data collection, interviews, transcription, and content analysis from both academic and field sources. Contribute to The Hind Research Repository , the institution’s growing database of research, field notes, and applied India studies materials. Engage in peer collaboration, editorial review, and presentation of findings within The Hind School’s academic community. Desired Qualifications Undergraduate student in humanities, social sciences, public policy, economics, management, or related disciplines. Strong research and writing skills with attention to analytical depth and clarity. Demonstrated interest in India’s regional diversity, governance, policy, and development. Familiarity with academic citation styles and digital research tools is an advantage. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and contribute creatively to collaborative projects.
