Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Testing Executive to understand client requirements, validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure that software applications meet business expectations. The candidate will work closely with clients, developers, and internal teams to understand requirements and ensure the delivery of quality software solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

A. Client Requirement Understanding

• Understand client requirements, business needs, and expected software functionality.
• Communicate with clients or relevant teams to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
• Document business requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Convert client requirements into test scenarios and test cases.
• Ensure software functionality aligns with client expectations.

B. Software Testing and Quality Assurance

• Perform manual testing of software applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and basic usability testing.
• Identify, document, and report software defects.
• Verify fixes and perform retesting to ensure issues are resolved.
• Ensure software features work according to documented requirements.

C. Defect Tracking and Team Coordination

• Record and track defects using company-approved tools.
• Coordinate with developers to communicate and resolve issues.
• Discuss requirement gaps and unexpected application behavior with relevant teams.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress and outstanding defects.

D. Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare test cases, test scenarios, and test execution reports.
• Maintain requirement documents, defect logs, and testing records.
• Document actual results and compare them with expected results.
• Report testing progress, risks, and quality issues to the QA Lead or manager.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Ability to prepare test cases and identify software defects.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel and documentation tools.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be capable of understanding client expectations, analyzing business requirements, testing software functionality, and communicating issues clearly to the development team. Prior testing experience is not mandatory, but analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn are essential.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
