Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright using Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test solutions. The ideal candidate should possess a solid automation background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the flexibility to contribute to both automation and manual testing activities in a fast-paced Agile environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Java. • Build and enhance reusable, scalable, and robust test automation frameworks. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across applications. • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and define test strategies. • Participate in Agile ceremonies, defect triage, test planning, and quality assurance activities. • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and automation efficiency. • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive defect resolution. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test automation, framework architecture, and quality engineering practices. • Independently manage assigned tasks and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines. ________________________________________ Technical Skills Must Have • Strong knowledge of Core Java, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and programming concepts. • Hands-on experience with Playwright Automation using Java. • Strong understanding of test automation architectures and framework design principles. • Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks from the ground up. • Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an innovative problem-solving mindset. • Practical experience in both manual and automated testing. • Ability to work as an individual contributor and take ownership of deliverables. • Enthusiasm for learning and adopting new technologies and testing methodologies. Skill Set Required | Technical Skills Must Have • Strong knowledge of Core Java, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and programming concepts. • Hands-on experience with Playwright Automation using Java. • Strong understanding of test automation architectures and framework design principles. • Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks from the ground up. • Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an innovative problem-solving mindset. • Practical experience in both manual and automated testing. • Ability to work as an individual contributor and take ownership of deliverables. • Enthusiasm for learning and adopting new technologies and testing methodologies. Good to Have • Experience with GitHub and version control best practices. • Working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Maven. • Exposure to GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines. • Experience testing Salesforce applications. • Knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript is preferred. • Experience with Playwright using JavaScript/TypeScript is an added advantage. • Exposure to SOAP UI, REST API testing, and Web Services validation. • Experience with API automation frameworks. • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms and solutions. ________________________________________ Tools & Certifications • Experience with JIRA or other Agile project management and defect tracking tools. • ISTQB Certification or equivalent testing certification is desirable.
