Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai for a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will oversee and manage financial planning, strategic budgeting, and resource allocation for the organization. Fundraising & Investor Relations (Core Responsibility) • Lead equity and debt fundraising across angels, VCs, strategic investors, banks, and NBFCs • Prepare pitch decks, financial models, unit economics, and investor data rooms • Drive valuation discussions, term sheets, cap table management, and funding closures • Build and maintain relationships with investors, accelerators, and funding partners • Support government grants, subsidies, and startup schemes where applicable Financial Strategy & Planning • Define Teqit’s financial roadmap aligned with growth plans • Build 3–5 year financial projections covering revenue, margins, and cash flow • Track KPIs, burn rate, runway, and conduct scenario planning • Advise leadership on pricing, expansion, and cost optimization Financial Operations & Control • Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory compliance • Set up internal controls, approval workflows, and MIS reporting • Manage cash flow, working capital, vendor payments, and receivables • Implement scalable financial systems and dashboards Budgeting & Cost Management • Create and monitor annual and quarterly budgets • Track CAPEX vs OPEX, especially device procurement and rentals • Ensure disciplined use of raised funds • Identify and eliminate financial inefficiencies Governance & Risk Management • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, startup regulations, and investor reporting • Maintain accurate financial statements, audits, and board reports • Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks Qualifications Experience as CFO, Finance Head, Investment Banking, or Startup Finance Lead. Strong hands-on exposure to fundraising and investor negotiations. Deep understanding of startup finance, unit economics, and growth-stage challenges. Comfortable working in high-ownership, fast-moving environments. CA or MBA (Finance) preferred; execution capability is more important than degrees.
