Job Description: Electrical Engineer – STP Operation & Maintenance Position Title: Electrical Engineer Department: Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Electrical Location: Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Site Gujarat Reports To: Plant Manager / O&M Head 1. Role Objective To ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems at the Sewage Treatment Plant, including power distribution, motors, control systems, and instrumentation, while supporting uninterrupted treatment operations and compliance with statutory norms. 2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Operation & Monitoring Operate and monitor HT/LT electrical supply, transformers, DG sets, UPS, and distribution boards. Ensure smooth functioning of motors, blowers, pumps, and mixers through MCC and VFD panels. Supervise PLC/SCADA systems, sensors, and instrumentation for accurate process control. Record and analyze daily power consumption, equipment efficiency, and downtime logs. B. Maintenance Prepare and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for motors, panels, and electrical equipment. Conduct routine inspection of wiring, cabling, earthing, and protection systems. Troubleshoot and rectify breakdowns in electrical and control systems.
