Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Splicer to join our telecom deployment team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in splicing, testing, and troubleshooting optical fiber networks. Key Responsibilities · Perform fiber splicing on live and new cable networks (FTTH/FTTx/Backbone). · Handle OTDR, Power Meter, and Splicing Machines efficiently. · Interpret fiber network plans, routes, and schematics. · Execute fiber testing, fault finding, and rectification. · Coordinate with field teams for network activation and maintenance. · Ensure proper documentation of splicing records and daily reports. · Maintain safety protocols and quality standards at all job sites. Required Skills · Strong knowledge of optical fiber types, color codes, and standards. · Proficient with fusion splicing machines and fiber test tools (OTDR, VFL). · Ability to work in field conditions and travel to deployment areas. · Basic understanding of telecom infrastructure and routes. · Good physical stamina for outdoor tasks. Job Summary We are seeking a responsible and physically active Optical Fiber Patroller to ensure continuous monitoring and maintenance of optical fiber cable routes. The patroller will be accountable for route inspections, fault detection, and immediate escalation to ensure minimal downtime in the fiber network. Key Responsibilities · Daily patrolling of assigned fiber cable routes to identify faults or damages. · Ensure right of way (ROW) is clear and free from construction or excavation threats. · Report fiber cuts, unauthorized digging, or construction activity near the cable route. · Coordinate with the O&M team for preventive and corrective actions. · Maintain daily logs and submit inspection reports to supervisors. · Assist in minor repair tasks under the guidance of technical teams. · Build rapport with local authorities, communities, and vendors to support fiber safety.
