Job Description : Tekodyne is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our robotics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development and testing of complex mechanical systems for our cutting-edge robotic solutions, with a focus on creating great, intuitive, and innovative designs. This is an on-site position in Hyderabad, with a requirement for some amount of travel. Qualification : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Experience : • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in mechanical design • Must have experience working with robotic systems. •Proven experience in the robotics, automation, or mechatronics industries. Key Responsibilities : • Lead the mechanical design of new robotic products, subsystems and components from concept to production. • Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo or Onshape) to create and refine 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings. • Conduct engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA ) to validate design performance, reliability, and durability. • Develop and execute test plans for prototypes to ensure they meet performance, safety and manufacturability requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical and control systems. • Manage the selection and procurement of materials, components and external vendors. • Troubleshoot and resolve design and manufacturing issues throughout the product lifecycle. • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. Technical Skills : • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks is highly preferred). • Strong knowledge of Design for manufacturability (DFM) and Design for assembly (DFA). • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing ( GD & T ). • Proven experience with a variety of manufacturing processes, such as 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding and sheet metal fabrication. Familiarity with motion control, servo systems and actuator design. Knowledge of kinematics, dynamics and control systems related to robotics. Experience with safety standards (e.g., ANSI R15.06) is a plus. Soft Skills : • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. • Demonstrated ability to create great and intuitive mechanical designs. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The Senior Robotics Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robotic automation systems. The role involves close collaboration with different engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and improve manufacturing processes. Have hands on experience with CAD software. Knowledge in Plant Simulation, Layout optimization is highly desired.
