Position Summary: The Senior Product Development Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for leading the complete product development lifecycle — from concept design to production release. The role involves developing innovative mechanical solutions, ensuring manufacturability, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality and cost-effective products. Key Roles and Responsibilities End-to-end product design and development of mechanical systems and components, ensuring alignment with customer and project requirements. Develop innovative and optimized design concepts using advanced CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA. Conduct feasibility studies, design validation, and performance optimization to achieve design intent and functionality. Coordinate and manage prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing to validate designs against specifications. Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are production-ready, cost-effective, and meet DFM/DFA standards. Knowledge in electrical, electronics to develop an integrated product. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and assembly documentation in compliance with industry standards. Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry and safety standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM, etc.). Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s preferred). 5–6 years of experience in product design and mechanical development, preferably in manufacturing or engineering environments. Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and detailing (SolidWorks preferred). Hands-on experience in prototype testing, design validation, and production support. Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
