Role : Technical Content Writer Education : BE in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (or related field) Experience : 2 to 5 Years in Technical Writing and Technical Publication Management We are looking for skilled Technical Content Writers with an engineering background (Mechanical or Electronics & Telecommunication) to join our Technical Publications Team. The role involves creating and managing a range of technical documentation such as Installation, Operation & Maintenance Manuals (IOMs), User Guides, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing, and visualization skills with hands-on experience in tools like SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, and other authoring or content management platforms . Skills Required Technical Writing & Documentation: Develop clear, concise, and accurate technical content, including IOMs, Service Manuals, Technical Guides, SOPs, and Work Instructions. Editing & Quality Control: Strong copy editing skills; ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to documentation standards. Technical Understanding: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications; hands-on experience with SolidWorks is mandatory. Tools & Software: Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, FrameMaker, Acrobat) - Illustrator proficiency for technical illustrations. Authoring tools: DITA, Arbortext Editor, Oxygen XML Author, Document360, MadCap Flare/Central. CMS/PLM tools: PTC Windchill, SDL Tridion, Teamcenter, NX. Microsoft Office Suite. Translation & Localization: Coordinate translation processes to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate global content. Web Technologies & Design: Basic HTML, CSS, and design/layout skills for online documentation and integrating visuals, diagrams, and illustrations. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal English; work effectively with cross-functional teams.
