Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Operational Oversight: Ensure vessels are operated safely, economically, and efficiently, meeting all operational requirements and compliance standards. Maintenance Management: Oversee daily fleet operations, including maintenance, repairs, and logistics, while developing strategic plans to enhance performance and efficiency. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and foster a culture of safety. Budgetary Control: Manage the fleet's budget, ensuring procurement activities align with financial targets and cost-saving goals. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor technical superintendents and other staff, promoting professional development and high performance.Emergency Response: Act as part of the emergency response team for any major unplanned events involving the fleet. Qualifications:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.Experience: Significant experience in marine engineering or vessel operations, with previous roles such as Technical Superintendent being advantageous. Certifications: Relevant maritime certifications and licenses, such as a Chief Engineer's license, are often required.Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple vessels and teams effectively.
