Job Description

  • Support SAM projects with a primary focus on software licensing and publisher onboarding, and  renewal activities, including reconcile entitlements, deployments, and usage  and license metrics to assess compliance, produce and maintain ELPs, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Provide publisher audit support and  support renewal, true-up, contract-change, and compliance-risk analyses.
  • Help in  tiering publishers into categories based on risk, audit history, and business impact. Review existing ELPs and current compliance positions for high-tier publishers 
  • Create, maintain, and validate ELPs for publishers such as Microsoft, Adobe, VMware, IBM, and similar vendors.
  • Work with Content Library and publisher packs to normalize and maintain  software recognition and licensing data within ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Work with technical and asset-management teams to validate installation, deployment, usage, and inventory data from tools such as SCCM and JAMF.
  • Maintain high integrity across SAM Pro records, CMDB, and software catalog by evaluating asset completeness and resolving data issues.
  • Participate in workshops and requirements-gathering sessions to identify  licensing, ELP, reporting, process-improvement, and automation opportunities.
  • Analyze software usage patterns, flag optimization or reclamation opportunities, and prepare actionable metrics and reports.
  • Provide  functional support, process documentation, and stakeholder follow-up to project teams and end users.
  • Work actively with cross-functional groups  including IT, procurement, cybersecurity, and finance, to enable effective asset management and compliance.
  • Document licensing processes, ELP assumptions, data requirements, and SAM operating procedures.
  • Stay updated with emerging  SAM Pro features, software licensing practices, publisher requirements, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to ELP templates, publisher playbooks, licensing analyses, and SAM reporting accelerators.
