Technical Architect - QA

As a visionary QE Architect at Adobe, you will play a crucial role in defining and driving the quality engineering strategy, frameworks, and tool-ecosystem across the product portfolio. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring high quality and scalability of software delivery. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - **Quality Strategy & Architecture**: - Define and build a scalable, maintainable, enterprise-level test automation and quality framework for web, mobile, API, and microservices. - Architect quality approaches across multiple domains/teams and lead cross-product or cross-domain quality initiatives. - Promote continuous testing by integrating quality gates, metrics, and dashboards into CI/CD pipelines. - Participate in product design and architecture reviews to ensure testability, reliability, and maintainability. - **Technology & Tooling Ownership**: - Utilize strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript. - Select, evaluate, and implement best-in-class automation tools, frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium), and performance & security test tools. - Build and maintain CI/CD integration for automated test execution, environment provisioning, test data, and mocks/stubs. - Drive innovations in quality with forward-looking frameworks, AI/self-healing automation, and predictive analytics. - **Leadership & Collaboration**: - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QE engineers and automation teams. - Act as a liaison between QE, product, development, DevOps, and business teams to align on quality objectives and champion a quality culture. - Define and enforce standardization by creating test strategy templates, framework code standards, and quality metrics. - **Quality Assurance & Metrics**: - Own and track quality metrics such as defect density, automated coverage, release cycles, stability, and production incidents. - Lead root-cause analysis of production defects, drive process improvements, and refine test strategy accordingly. - Ensure functional, regression, performance, security, and resilience testing are embedded and executed at appropriate phases. In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the following attributes are preferred: - Experience in driving or implementing AI-enabled quality engineering or self-healing test frameworks. - Experience in enterprise-scale transformation programs or product-platform migration efforts. - Open-source contributions or internal tooling for test automation architecture. - Certification(s) such as ISTQB Advanced Test Manager/Automation Engineer, Cloud Certification (AWS/Azure), DevOps/Agile. - Lead experimental initiatives to test and adopt novel QE practices across Adobe products.
