Title: Construction engineer for Solar power -AC/DC & IDT work Task: HT/LT/DC cable laying & terminations, Transformer/ inverter erections & commissioning (Ground mounted SOLAR) Duties & Responsibilities: Understand the Electrical SAFETY and power ISOLATION procedures. Co-ordinate with cross functional team & EPC Contractor/Execution Agencies for smooth execution of work at site. Understand the trench lay-out and ensure the excavations/back filling accordingly. Earthing and Its importance & Knowledge about different types of earthings (chemical/non treated) Monitor the laying of cables, terminations and torquing of terminations, glanding & lugging, dressing of cables. Understand the cable types sizes & Standards, Knowledge of different types of cables joints and kits for these joints. Knowledge of transformer components Testing and commissioning procedures for Cable charging, continuity test, meggering, HIPOT/VLF, Transformer-testing as per OEM recommendation, Oil BDV/PPM. LT-Panel testing – Battery charger, UPS and HT panel testing. Circuit braker testing Knowledge of DC- cable crimping & laying- dressing.as per SLD Knowledge of Connectors like MC4/ MH4, Stringing as per drawing. Ensure execution of project as per planning and update of daily progress reports. Inspection of material receipts at site by respective EPC Contractor and certify the same. Verify and certify running quantities raised by EPC Contractor/Execution Agencies as per actual site work progress. Knowledge of execution of work as per organizational Quality and Safety standards. Verify compliance of solar panels, inverters and balance of system equipment with applicable specifications and accredited testing lab reports.
