Tax Associate

Maple Tax Consulting LLC is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused freshers to join our team as Customer Relationship Officers. This opportunity is suitable for graduates with strong communication skills who want to build a career in client relationship management within the US tax services industry.

You will communicate with prospective and existing clients, explain our services, coordinate document collection, and work with the tax preparation team to keep clients informed throughout the filing process.

Role & responsibilities

• Handle client inquiries through phone calls, emails, and approved messaging channels.
• Understand client requirements and explain the companys US individual and business tax preparation services.
• Follow up with prospective clients and assist them with registration and onboarding.
• Guide clients on required documents using checklists provided by the tax team.
• Coordinate with tax preparers to share client queries and obtain accurate responses.
• Provide timely updates on document requirements, pending information, and return preparation progress.
• Explain approved service packages, fees, and payment procedures clearly.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, follow-ups, and service requests in the CRM system.
• Resolve routine service concerns and escalate technical tax questions to the appropriate team.
• Support client retention through professional communication and timely follow-ups.
• Work toward assigned service, follow-up, and conversion targets.
• Handle personal and financial information confidentially and follow company data security procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in any discipline.
• Freshers are welcome; prior US tax experience is not required.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
• Good listening, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Confidence in handling phone conversations and client follow-ups.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Willingness to learn US tax terminology and company processes.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple client requests.
• Willingness to work the shift timings specified for the role.
