Job Objective:To ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of high-voltage transmission lines and substation equipment by carrying out operation, inspection, and maintenance activities under the supervision of departmental officers. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the operation and maintenance of 132 kV / 220 kV / 400 kV transmission lines and related substation equipment. Perform daily patrolling and visual inspection of line sections to identify defects or abnormal conditions. Support engineers during tripping analysis, isolation, and restoration of line faults. Maintain logbooks, inspection registers, and maintenance reports as per prescribed format. Assist in tightening, replacement, and repair of damaged clamps, insulators, jumpers, or hardware fittings. Ensure proper earthing, safety clearance, and isolation procedures during maintenance work. Follow instructions for shutdown, energization, and testing operations. Maintain cleanliness and safety of the worksite and tools used during transmission line works. Participate in preventive and breakdown maintenance activities under supervision. Comply strictly with all safety protocols, PPE usage, and company regulations. Educational Qualification: ITI (Electrical) or Diploma (Electrical) from a recognized institution. Experience: Minimum 1–3 years in transmission line or substation O&M works
