Job description

Tank Operator is responsible for managing the safe operation of tanks for storing and processing chemicals This includes loading/unloading materials, ensuring safety compliance, and performing regular maintenance. Keep records, report tank conditions.

• Operate and monitor storage tanks, pumps, valves, and pipelines.
• Handle safe loading/unloading of chemicals from tankers and drums.
• Maintain accurate tank level readings, temperatures, and log sheets.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines during transfer and storage.
• Inspect equipment and pipelines for leaks or issues.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and housekeeping of tank farm area.
• Report any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency response training.
• Operate ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) equipment, including pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment and infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Monitor and control the treatment process to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including logs, reports, and documentation.

Required Candidate profile

Monitor and control chemical flow, ensure tank maintenance, and inspect for damage. Follow safety procedures and conduct checks, Perform routine maintenance and address operational issues.

• Minimum 2 years experience in a chemical / petrochemical / oil & gas tank farm.
• Knowledge of chemical handling, storage, and safety standards.
• Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,500.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
