Role & responsibilities Analysis of the Environmental related aspects of various projects taken up under the project and provide necessary inputs. Monitoring of the Projects in the field in lieu of Environmental Impact and develop mitigation strategies. Analysis and finalization of World Bank mandated documents such as Environmental and social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF), Environmental & Social Management Plan (ESMP and Environmental & Social Due Diligence Report (ESDDR) Advise Project Implementing Agencies (PEA) on marine environmental regulations and world Bank regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards Review the DPR and other supporting documents prepared by PEAs Coordinate with other Government departments and agencies, academic institutions for data inputs Support PEAs in coordinating and communicating on technical work related to DPR and other World Banks Environmental and Social Standards Assisting CMD & MD for conducting periodic review meeting with PEAs and to collect the project status report Monitor progress and prepare progress reports for submission to the Government of Tamil Nadu and the World Bank Any other official responsibilities in respect of the project as assigned by the CMD and MD TNSHORE Coordinate among various eminent institutions for arriving at interventions based on latest technological and scientific advancements to design and implement interventions under the project with respect to Coastal Protection • Pollution Abatement • Bioshields and Nature Based Solutions. Other related works assigned by the Director/nodal officers from time to time. Preferred candidate profile
