As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data infrastructure. You will play a key role in maintaining systems that support the processing, storage, and retrieval of large data volumes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering and cloud technologies, along with a commitment to continuous improvement, aiming to keep the data platform both reliable and scalable. Your role will involve designing and enforcing best practices to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data. What You ll Take On Work with data engineers to build and maintain scalable and reliable data infrastructure. Support the integration of data storage, processing, and retrieval systems. Help improve system reliability by contributing to fault-tolerant designs. Write automation scripts and tools to simplify data operations and infrastructure management. Contribute to enhancing the current data architecture, monitoring, and data availability. Assist in developing data quality processes to ensure accurate and consistent data for stakeholders. Support the maintenance of enterprise-wide data dictionaries. Work effectively within a global team, collaborating across time zones when needed. What You Bring Solid experience with data engineering principles, data processing, and modern storage technologies. Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and familiarity with scripting (e.g., Bash). Experience building and managing data pipelines on AWS infrastructure. Comfortable working with monitoring and analytics tools like Datadog, Elasticsearch, and Grafana. Experience developing automation and deployment scripts to improve data operations. Understanding of streaming data architecture. Proficiency in managing different types of data storage (relational databases, NoSQL, and data lakes). Skilled at testing and monitoring data for issues, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Experience working in a global or cross-functional team environment. What Youll Take On: Design and build comprehensive Workday reporting products, including advanced, and matrix reports. Respond to all incoming Workday HR reporting requests from across the organization. Develop a strong understanding of user reporting needs and make implementation recommendations on how those reports can be developed using reporting tools. The development lifecycle includes requirements gathering, design, deployment, and on-going enhancements. Analyze and consolidate reporting requirements to leverage existing reports where applicable. Works with Workday integration developers to determine report design strategies. Develop efficient, performant SQL queries. Ensure data privacy and integrity, review and apply Workday security, and validate creditability and accuracy of reports What You Bring: 2+ years of Workday Custom Report writing and Dashboards (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, RaaS, etc.) including the development of complex calculated fields. 2+ years SQL query development experience. Strong working knowledge of HR systems, functions, processes and advanced reporting environments. Independent problem solving - ability to articulate issues across projects and the business Attention to detail, strong organization skills, ability to multitask.
