Role & responsibilities : Your core responsibilities will encompass a wide range of hands-on and technical tasks critical to the successful completion of projects: Execute After-Sales Service Activities: Actively participate in and lead post-installation and warranty service activities, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term reliability of installed systems.This includes responding to service requests, conducting routine checks, and addressing emergent issues. • Perform Erection, Testing, and Commissioning (ET&C) of MV & LV Products: o Switchgear Expertise: Lead and conduct the end-to-end erection, testing, and commissioning of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) products, with a strong focus on 11 KV to 33 KV switchgear panels (AIS/GIS), 11 KV to 33 KV Ring Main Units (RMUs), and various LV to MV circuit breakers. This involves physical installation oversight, wiring checks, functional testing, and performance validation. o Troubleshooting: Expertly diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in all types of circuit breakers and associated equipment, demonstrating a keen analytical approach to problem-solving in challenging field environments. • Relay Management & Configuration: o Programming & Parameterization: Independently program and parameterize Siemens and ABB relays (both numerical and electromechanical), ensuring they are accurately configured to provide optimal protection and control for the electrical system. This requires in-depth knowledge of relay logic, protection schemes, and manufacturer-specific software. o Calibration & Verification: Perform precise calibration and rigorous verification tests on these relays to confirm their accuracy and responsiveness under various operating conditions. • Site Management & Independent Operations: Take charge of switchgear sites, working independently to manage all testing and commissioning activities for medium voltage and low voltage switchgear installations. This includes planning, executing tests, coordinating with client personnel, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines. Documentation & Reporting: Meticulously compile test data, generate comprehensive commissioning reports, and provide detailed technical feedback to the service team leader and clients. This ensures proper record-keeping, compliance, and facilitates future maintenance. • Adherence to Standards: Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with relevant Indian and international electrical standards (e.g., IS, IEC, IEEE), safety regulations, and company quality procedures. • Client Interaction & Training: Interact professionally with clients, providing technical explanations, addressing their queries, and potentially offering basic operational training on commissioned equipment. Preferred candidate profile : We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for electrical systems and a strong commitment to quality and safety. • Educational Background: o Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. o Considered: Diploma in Electrical/Polytechnic, or a Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communication, particularly if coupled with significant relevant experience in power systems. • Experience & Technical Expertise: o Medium Voltage Switchgears: Demonstrated strong practical experience in handling, testing, and commissioning Medium Voltage (MV) switchgears (11 kV to 33 kV). Relay Proficiency: Extensive and hands-on experience with Siemens and ABB Relays, including a proven ability to program, parameterize, calibrate, and troubleshoot these devices. Full Lifecycle Experience: Solid experience in the complete lifecycle of electrical installations, covering Installation, Commissioning, and Retrofitting of various electrical equipment. OEM Product Knowledge (Advantageous): Direct hands-on experience with Siemens and ABB electrical products (switchgear, breakers, relays, etc.) will be a significant advantage, showcasing familiarity with leading industry equipment. o Independent Site Handling: Proven capability to handle switchgear sites independently, demonstrating strong technical leadership and decision-making skills in the field. • Soft Skills & Attributes: o Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, influencing both internally and externally. o Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, colleagues, and other contractors on site. o Self-Motivation & Drive: Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and possesses a strong passion for exceeding goals and consistently delivering exceptional results. o Problem-Solving & Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. o Industry Knowledge: Robust understanding of electrical systems, best maintenance practices, and relevant industry regulations and safety standards. o Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel extensively (Pan India) to various client sites as per project requirements.
