Why you should join us … An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading drinks agency in Global Travel Retail managing our Brand Ambassadors and the BA Program, for one of the world's largest producers of spirits and beers DIAGEO. We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team of Brand Ambassadors (BAs) across Duty-Free retail environments. Representing Sweet&Chilli and our client Diageo, you will play a key role in driving sales performance, ensuring premium brand representation, and delivering exceptional consumer experiences through strong leadership, coaching, and strategic engagement. As part of a collaborative team employed by Sweet&Chilli, you’ll act as the central link between the S&C Global team, our BA sales teams, Duty-Free retailers, and Diageo. Based in Bangalore, you will oversee the recruitment, development, and performance of Brand Ambassadors across Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, and Colombo, while travelling regularly to contracted international airports. Your responsibilities… · Sales and Team Management Lead the recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and retention of Brand Ambassadors across the duty-free network. Drive sales performance through effective coaching, motivation, and performance tracking of BAs. Ensure seamless communication of administrative and operational tasks to the field team. · People Development Coach and develop both functional and leadership skills within the BA teams. Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. · Training Capability Design and deliver both virtual and face-to-face training programs to equip BAs with strong product knowledge, sales techniques, and brand storytelling. Elevate in-store customer experiences to best-in-class standards, aligned with Diageo’s premium brand expectations. · Performance Reporting and Communication Track and communicate KPI and sales targets, training plans, and BA development progress during weekly/monthly WIPs, team meetings, and business reviews. Provide timely, insightful reports to internal and external stakeholders. · Marketing and Activation Support Ensure the flawless execution of Diageo’s marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and brand activations. Secure premium brand visibility and adherence to planograms within duty-free retail spaces. · Stakeholder Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across duty-free retail partners and Diageo teams. Act as a strategic link between field teams, clients, and retail partners to align on business goals and deliver results. · Market Intelligence Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer and leverage insights to support Diageo in gaining a competitive edge. · Administration and Reporting Complete all required reporting and administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner on a monthly basis or as requested by the client. About you… · Strong leadership and people management skills – Proven ability to lead retail teams, coach performance, and build strong interpersonal relationships. · Experience in Duty-Free, or liquor industry is highly advantageous. · Sales training and capability development – Skilled in coaching and delivering training both virtually and face-to-face. · Stakeholder management – Confident in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners. · Strategic thinking with strong reporting and planning skills – Able to align team activity with business KPIs. · Excellent communication and presentation skills – Outgoing, confident, and engaging in training or leadership settings. · Organisational and administrative strength – Capable of managing rostering, reporting, and operational workflows. · Agile, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy – Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.) with strong attention to detail. · Time and task management – Comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. · Flexible and airport-based availability – Willing to work from duty-free locations with some remote work. · Resilient with a can-do attitude – Able to perform under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances. · Passion for premium brands and customer experience – Committed to representing high-end products with pride.
