SwastR is seeking a part-time, equity-based Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its technology vision and execution. This is a remote role focused on driving the end-to-end development and scalability of the SwastR platform. The CTO will oversee product architecture, guide the engineering team, and ensure that technology decisions align with SwastR’s strategic goals. You’ll play a pivotal role in transforming SwastR’s mission into an engaging, high-performing digital product that balances innovation, user experience, and data privacy. Key Responsibilities Define and implement SwastR’s overall technology strategy and roadmap Oversee full-stack product development, architecture design, and scalability planning Manage and mentor developers, conduct regular follow-ups, and ensure timely delivery Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to translate ideas into actionable solutions Establish best practices for security, data protection, and privacy compliance Drive innovation through modern technologies and integrations Support fundraising, product demos, and technology-related partnerships as needed Qualifications 10–13 years of professional experience in software development, architecture, and product delivery Proven expertise in scalable system design and cloud-based architectures (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience in leading technical teams and managing distributed or remote developers Strong understanding of IT strategy , product lifecycle management, and agile methodologies Hands-on experience with web and mobile app development Familiarity with data privacy regulations and user-centric design principles Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic leadership skills Degree in Computer Science, Engineering , or related field (advanced degree preferred) Engagement Type: Role Type: Part-time, equity-based (with potential for full-time transition) Location: Remote Commitment: Strategic leadership, technical oversight, and active coordination with the development team
