Role : Surgery Coder / SDS Coder

Certificate :

Experience : 2 Year- 7 Year

Salary : Best in Industry

Location : Chennai

Interview Mode : Online

Work Mode : WFO

Notice Period : Immediate - 30 days

Role Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign appropriate

    facility modifiers

    based on procedural completion and anesthesia timing.
  • Navigate

    NCCI edits

    daily to ensure compliant bundling/unbundling using appropriate modifiers.
  • Manage surgical claims across

    global periods

    to avoid duplicate billing.
  • Extract data from complex operative reports across all body systems (Integumentary to Nervous).
  • Perform internal audits on SDS procedures to ensure medical necessity and documentation integrity.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of

    CPT Surgery section structure and code ranges

  • Knowledge of

    global periods, bundling rules, and modifier usage

  • Ability to interpret detailed

    operative reports

  • Familiarity with

    outpatient hospital and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) coding

  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume coding environment
