About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Supply Chain & Operations Manager with a strong background in the FMCG industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain operations, production planning, procurement coordination, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in streamlining operational processes, improving supply chain efficiency, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely product availability while maintaining quality and service standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Management
- Manage end-to-end supply chain activities, from procurement and production planning to warehousing and distribution.
- Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to ensure smooth business operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, manufacturing units, and logistics partners.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
2. Production Planning & Inventory Management
- Prepare and monitor production plans based on sales forecasts and market demand.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Monitor inventory turnover, stock ageing, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory.
- Implement effective inventory control systems to minimize wastage and working capital blockage.
3. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with the procurement team for timely sourcing of materials.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and procurement optimization.
4. Warehouse & Logistics Management
- Oversee warehouse operations, storage, material handling, dispatch, and stock reconciliation.
- Ensure efficient transportation and distribution of products.
- Optimize logistics costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Implement proper warehouse management practices, FIFO/FEFO, and stock traceability.
5. Operations & Process Improvement
- Monitor day-to-day operational activities and ensure smooth workflow.
- Drive process improvements to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Develop SOPs and ensure adherence to operational policies.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
6. Team Management & Coordination
- Lead and manage supply chain, warehouse, logistics, and operations teams.
- Coordinate with sales, finance, production, procurement, and quality departments.
- Set performance targets and monitor team productivity.
- Build a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
7. MIS, Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare periodic MIS reports on inventory, procurement, production planning, logistics, and operational performance.
- Monitor KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turnover, order fulfilment, wastage, and supply chain costs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements, food safety standards (where applicable), and company policies.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of end-to-end FMCG supply chain operations.
- Excellent knowledge of production planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics.
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Experience in cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and supply chain management tools.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related discipline.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Operations will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain & Operations.
- Mandatory experience in the FMCG industry.
- Experience in managing manufacturing-linked supply chains, warehouses, logistics, and distribution operations.
- Candidates with experience in handling multi-location operations and high-volume inventory will be preferred.

- Improvement in OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance.
- Reduction in inventory holding and logistics costs.
- Improvement in inventory accuracy and stock turnover.
- Reduction in material wastage and operational losses.
- Improved order fulfilment and dispatch efficiency.
- Better vendor performance and procurement efficiency.
