Required Technical Skills : Extensive hands-on experience with SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Neo silica ) and PPC units (e.g., Sungrow, SMA, Huawei). Proficient in protocols like Modbus, IEC 104, DLMS, and device configuration. Experience with telemetry systems, dataloggers, PLCs/RTUs, weather stations, and various plant field devices. Strong knowledge of data communication including FTP push, static IP configuration, firewalls, and secure remote connectivity. Familiarity with network components including switches, gateways, routers, and fiber optic terminations. Deep understanding of solar plant components: inverters, meters, WMS sensors, switchgear, and transformers. Qualification & Experience : Education: B. Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering disciplines. Experience: Minimum 3 to 6 years in solar SCADA commissioning, PPC integration, and O&M operations. Key Responsibility Areas: 1. SCADA & PPC System Integration and Commissioning Design, configure, test, and commission SCADA systems at solar power plant sites. Prepare I/O lists, communication diagrams, and SCADA architectures per project requirements. Configure PPC for reactive and active power control to maintain grid code compliance. Manage integration of SCADA with PLCs, inverters, meters, relays, weather monitoring systems (WMS), and other field devices. 2. Remote Monitoring System (RMS) Configuration Install, configure, and maintain RMS for real-time data monitoring and analysis. Ensure reliable data acquisition from plant hardware to cloud-based portals and forecasting systems. Configure FTP push, CSV, and .daq file handling for diagnostics and performance reporting. 3. Communication & Protocol Management Setup and manage communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC 104, IEC 61850, RS485/232, and DLMS. Configure network infrastructure components such as Ethernet switches, gateways, firewalls, LIUs, routers, FO, and CAT6 cables for secure and seamless data transmission. Implement cybersecurity best practices for network and SCADA layers. 4. Plant Operations Support & Troubleshooting Monitor SCADA data to quickly identify and resolve operational issues. Analyze faults and coordinate corrective actions with O&M and site teams. Provide both remote and on-site technical support aimed at minimizing downtime. 5. Documentation & Compliance Prepare and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, network diagrams, and configuration records. Lead vendor and contractor meetings, own preparation and sign-off of MOMs. Ensure adherence to SLDC, DISCOM, and CEA reporting standards related to forecasting and grid connectivity. 6. Coordination & Teamwork Collaborate with SCADA vendors, EPC contractors, and internal engineering teams for smooth hardware/software integration. Conduct site visits for technical supervision, pre-commissioning checks, and final handovers.
