Role Overview: As an Automation Engineer specializing in SCADA, PLC, and Instrumentation, you will play a crucial role in designing, configuring, and implementing automation systems for water treatment engineering projects. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with project teams, programming and testing PLC and HMI systems, developing control strategies, and providing technical support on automation-related issues. You will also be involved in on-site commissioning of PLC systems and generating documentation associated with automation systems. Key Responsibilities: - Design, configure, and implement automation systems for water treatment engineering projects, including control systems, SCADA, PLC, and instrumentation. - Collaborate with project teams to develop automation solutions aligning with project specifications and client requirements. - Program, test, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems to ensure optimal functionality and performance. - Perform internal SFAT on all programs. - Develop control strategies, automation architectures, and ensure integration with other project components. - Conduct on-site commissioning of PLC systems with electrical commissioning engineers. - Implement code changes on automation systems under change control. - Provide technical advice and support to process engineers and other disciplines on automation-related issues. - Partner with different disciplines to deliver automation projects following guidelines. - Generate documentation and SOPs associated with each automation system as required. - Support the tendering department on automation projects by specifying hardware and programming time. - Manage the specification, development, installation, and validation of automation projects within budget and corporate guidelines.
