As a Counsellor, you will play a crucial role in guiding students and their families through the process of pursuing education abroad. Your expertise and personalized support will empower students to make informed decisions about their academic and career pathways. The core responsibilities for the job include the following: Student Counselling and Guidance: Conduct individual counselling sessions with students to understand their academic background, career aspirations, and study abroad goals. Provide comprehensive information about study abroad options, universities, courses, and application processes. Academic and Career Consultation: Evaluate students' strengths, interests, and academic achievements to recommend suitable courses and universities. Offer insights into career prospects and potential pathways associated with different fields of study. University Selection: Assist students in shortlisting universities based on their preferences, academic profile, financial considerations, and long-term goals. Provide details about universities' rankings, programs, admission requirements, and cultural aspects. Application Support: Guide students through the entire application process, ensuring accurate document preparation, statement of purpose (SOP) writing, and resume building Test Preparation Guidance: Advise students on standardized tests required for admission, such as TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, GMAT, etc. Recommend appropriate test preparation resources and strategies to achieve competitive scores.
