About the job: As a Visual Merchandising Designer with 1 year of experience, you will support the ideation, design development, and execution of seasonal and campaign-based VM installations. You'll work collaboratively with the senior design team to bring spaces to life through compelling storytelling, spatial aesthetics, and meticulous detailing. Key responsibilities: 1. Assist in translating creative briefs into concept boards, sketches, and 3D mockups. 2. Support the development of VM themes for retail windows, events, or brand installations. 3. Conduct research on trends, materials, and cultural cues relevant to each project. 4. Coordinate vendor sampling and oversee fabrication quality. 5. Support installation and dismantling of VM setups on-site under supervision. 6. Maintain clear documentation of design specs, materials, and timelines. 7. Create mood boards, layout plans, and 3D visualizations (SketchUp, Rhino, or hand sketches). 8. Prepare technical drawings and material boards for client approvals. 9. Assist in styling and arranging display elements during setup. 10. Liaise with prop fabricators, carpenters, lighting vendors, and artists. 11. Work closely with senior designers and project leads to meet creative and logistical requirements. 12. Participate in walkthroughs, setup rehearsals, and post-installation reviews. 13. Capture before/after photos and assist in creating case studies or content for social media.
