Store Incharge - Railway/ Highway project - Gujarat

Role Purpose

• To manage and control all store activities at the project site, ensuring proper receipt, storage, issue, and record-keeping of materials required for smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Management

• Manage day-to-day store activities at the project site.
• Receive and verify materials received at site.
• Ensure proper storage and identification of materials.
• Issue materials to site teams as per approved requirements.
• Maintain proper stock levels and avoid shortages or excess stock.

2. Material Records

• Maintain inward, outward, stock, and material issue records.
• Maintain proper documentation for all materials.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification.
• Identify and report shortages, damages, or excess materials.

3. Construction / Railway Store Activities

• Handle construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Coordinate with site teams for material requirements.
• Ensure materials are available as per project requirements.
• Railway or Highway project store experience is mandatory.

4. Coordination

• Coordinate with Procurement, Site, Planning, Accounts, and Project teams.
• Follow up on pending material deliveries.
• Coordinate with suppliers and transporters when required.
• Report material shortages and urgent requirements to management.

5. Computer & Reporting

• Maintain store records using computer/ERP/software.
• Prepare stock statements and material reports.
• Maintain Excel-based inventory and consumption records.
• Provide regular reports to the Project Manager / Project Head.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction site store activities.
• Railway or Highway project store experience is required.
• Good knowledge of material receipt, storage, and issue procedures.
• Good computer knowledge and MS Excel skills.
• Strong record-keeping and inventory management skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage store operations independently.
