Staff Nurse - CTVS

Role & responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, hemodynamic parameters, and overall patient condition.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as per hospital protocols.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments safely.
• Monitor and manage chest drains, surgical wounds, and other post-operative devices as per competency and protocols.
• Identify and promptly report any deterioration in the patient's condition.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, patient records, and treatment charts.
• Ensure infection prevention, patient safety, and compliance with NABH standards.
• Coordinate with doctors and the multidisciplinary healthcare team for effective patient management.
• Educate patients and their attendants regarding treatment, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and clinical protocols.
