The Merchandiser will be responsible for end-to-end coordination of woven garment orders from development to shipment. This includes managing buyer communications, sample development, costing, production follow-up, and ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the woven garment production process, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Buyer Communication Act as the main point of contact between the company and buyers. Understand buyer requirements and ensure clear communication of specifications to relevant departments. Handle day-to-day correspondence, approvals, and feedback with buyers. Product Development & Sampling Coordinate with design and sampling teams to develop new styles as per buyer specifications. Ensure timely submission of proto, fit, size set, and pre-production samples. Track sample approvals and update internal teams accordingly. Costing & Order Confirmation Prepare accurate cost sheets including fabric, trims, packing, and overheads. Negotiate pricing with buyers while ensuring profitability. Confirm orders and ensure all necessary documentation is in place. Production Follow-Up Create and manage Time and Action (T&A) calendar for each order. Coordinate with production, quality, fabric sourcing, and procurement teams to meet deadlines. Monitor critical path and take corrective actions in case of delays. Material Procurement & Coordination Work with sourcing team to ensure timely procurement of fabrics, trims, and accessories. Coordinate with stores and suppliers to track material inflow and stock. Quality Control & Inspections Liaise with the QA team to ensure buyer quality standards are met. Organize inline and final inspections with third-party auditors or buyer QC. Shipment & Documentation Coordinate with logistics and documentation departments for timely dispatch of shipments. Ensure accurate shipping documents, packing lists, and invoices are prepared. Qualifications & Skills: 5 years of merchandising experience in woven garment manufacturing. Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and production processes. Knowledge of vendors for fabrics,trims,accessories and a good network in the industry Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) Good communication, negotiation, and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders. Preferred: Experience working with domestic and international buyers
