Job Summary: The Shift Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in spinning mill operations. This role ensures minimal downtime and supports smooth running of machines across all sections during the assigned shift. Key Responsibilities: Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, and servicing of spinning machinery (Blow Room, Carding, Draw Frame, Ring Frame, etc.). Attend breakdown calls promptly and restore machine operations with minimal delay. Inspect and maintain motors, drives, control panels, lighting systems, and wiring. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose faults in PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and control circuits. Replace defective components such as contractors, relays, switches, fuses, and cables. Maintain earthing and ensure proper functioning of safety devices. Shift Duties & Coordination: Work in coordination with the production and mechanical teams to handle electrical issues. Maintain logs of all maintenance and breakdown activities. Ensure all electrical equipment is operating within safety and energy efficiency norms. Safety & Compliance: Follow all electrical safety standards and company protocols. Report unsafe practices or conditions and take immediate corrective actions. Ensure energy-saving practices are followed during machine operation. Required Qualifications & Skills: ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical certification. Freshers, 2–5 years of relevant experience in a spinning or textile mill environment. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and panel wiring. Ability to read electrical schematics and use testing equipment (multi meter, clamp meter, etc.). Experience with VFDs, PLCs, and automation systems is a plus. Ability to work independently and handle shift responsibilities. Working Conditions: Rotational shifts (Day/Night/Evening). Factory-based; physically demanding with standing and movement across sections. On-call availability during emergencies or critical downtime. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Dashboards and data visualizations, and integration with IoT systems. You will be responsible for setting up, managing, and optimizing dashboards, integrating IoT data sources, and building interactive real-time monitoring systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement Dashboards to visualize IoT data and other system metrics.
