Sr Software Engineer, Mobile Platform

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Mobile Platform team at Legion located in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust solutions for both iOS and Android platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance core mobile frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, automation processes, and deployment strategies to ensure efficient and reliable development. Additionally, you will manage native integrations such as Push Notifications, App Security, and other platform services crucial to mobile functionality and user experience. Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineering teams to analyze, design, and deliver scalable mobile features. Your active participation in engineering processes, including code reviews, design reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups, will contribute to maintaining technical excellence and scaling the platform for future growth. To excel in this position, you should have at least 7 years of experience in either Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and the ability to collaborate effectively across platforms. Moreover, you should possess 3+ years of exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile, experience in designing and building APIs for Mobile consumption, and familiarity with release automation and app store deployment processes. Your expertise in unit, integration, and UI testing for mobile apps, as well as your experience in managing frameworks/systems, will be invaluable in optimizing performance, scalability, observability, and reliability across mobile applications serving millions of users. Preferred qualifications include experience with React Native, Flutter, or cross-platform frameworks, familiarity with backend technologies such as Java 17+, Spring Boot, SQL, and knowledge of monitoring and analytics tools like Firebase and Datadog.
