About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Purchase Engineer from the pharmaceutical machinery or machine manufacturing industry to manage procurement, vendor development, and supplier coordination.

The role involves sourcing raw materials, components, and services, managing purchase orders through an ERP system, and identifying cost saving opportunities while maintaining quality and procurement compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase and Procurement

Handle purchase requisitions and procure raw materials, components, and services according to company requirements.

Source materials, goods, and services from reliable and cost effective suppliers.

Use the ERP system to manage purchase orders, track inventory, and generate reports.

Conduct market research, compare suppliers, and analyze costs to support purchasing decisions.

Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs.

Vendor Management

Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Evaluate vendor performance, reliability, and product quality.

Maintain updated vendor agreements, price lists, and purchase records.

Identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement risk management measures.

Procurement Reporting and Compliance

Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

Prepare reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and budget adherence.

Participate in budget planning and contribute to cost management initiatives.

Improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and procurement best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

3 to 10 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement.

Experience in pharmaceutical machinery or machine manufacturing is required. Exposure to automation or equipment manufacturing is relevant.

Required Skills

Familiarity with import and export documentation and procurement policies.

Experience working with ERP systems for purchase orders, inventory tracking, and reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Strong analytical skills and a strategic approach to procurement.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and vendor coordination skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with close attention to detail.

A proactive and results oriented approach to problem solving.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
