Sr. Machine Learning Scientist

Role Overview: As an AI/ML Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for identifying AI/ML opportunities, building impactful solutions, and innovating to create efficiencies for the team and the business. You will lead ML projects, conduct research on innovative ML techniques, and collaborate with other teams to integrate ML models into products and services. Your role will involve developing and implementing best practices for ML model management, deployment, and monitoring, as well as assisting with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Key Responsibilities: - Identify AI ML opportunities and build solutions that impact the business - Lead ML Projects and conduct research to identify new and innovative ML techniques - Innovate to create efficiencies for the team and the business - Work closely with other engineers, analysts, and leaders to implement and optimize ML models - Develop and implement best practices for ML model management, deployment, and monitoring - Collaborate with other teams to ensure ML models are integrated into products and services - Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues - Responsible for documentation, project tracking, and quality controls Qualifications Required: - Possess a degree in engineering, science, statistics, or mathematics with a strong technical background in machine learning - Excellent communication skills, an analytical mindset, and a passion for problem-solving - 5+ years of hands-on experience in problem-solving using Machine Learning - Hands-on experience with Python or Java, along with relevant technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, BigQuery, SQL - In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, explainable AI methods, GenAI, and NLP - Experience with Cloud frameworks such as GCP, AWS preferred - Experience with Lending and Financial services is a plus Please visit https://about.pypl.com/who-we-are/default.aspx to learn more about our culture and community.
