Job Summary: The Fire Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire detection and fire fighting systems to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards. The role ensures all fire safety systems are operational at all times and supports emergency preparedness at the site. Key Responsibilities: Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and fire fighting systems. Maintain fire alarm panels (conventional & addressable), detectors, MCPs, hooters, and control modules. Inspect and maintain fire hydrant, sprinkler, hose reel, and fire pump systems. Service and refill fire extinguishers as per standards. Perform fault finding, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance. Ensure compliance with NFPA, NBC, and local fire authority regulations. Carry out preventive maintenance and maintain service records. Support fire drills, emergency response, and safety audits. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs and AMC activities. Prepare and maintain fire safety documentation and checklists. Follow HSE guidelines and company safety policies at all times. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of fire alarm and fire fighting systems Understanding of fire safety codes and statutory requirements Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic electrical knowledge Ability to read drawings and schematics Good communication and coordination skills.
