1.Payroll Processing Collect, verify, and input employee attendance and timekeeping data. Process salaries, bonuses, commissions, overtime, and deductions accurately. Ensure timely payroll disbursement (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). 2.Compliance and Taxation Ensure adherence to tax laws, labor laws, and statutory regulations (e.g., PF, ESI, TDS in India). File payroll taxes and generate required reports. Keep up to date with changes in legislation affecting payroll. 3.Employee Records Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records. Handle onboarding payroll setup and exit formalities like final settlement, gratuity, etc. 4.Audit and Reporting Prepare and maintain monthly/quarterly payroll reports for management. Coordinate with internal or external auditors during audits. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies. 5.System Management Operate and maintain payroll software or ERP systems. Work with HR and Finance departments to ensure integration and data accuracy. 6.Employee Support Address payroll-related queries from employees. Provide payslips and resolve discrepancies or complaints. 7.Process Improvement Recommend and implement improvements to payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy. Ensure data security and confidentiality of payroll information. Optional Responsibilities (Depending on Company Size)Support HR in compensation and benefits administration. Generate and analyze payroll-related financial reports. Participate in budgeting and forecasting payroll costs.
