The role of the Account Executive is to implement PR plans and deliver results for client campaigns. An Account Executive should be proficient at working with the media and be able to develop basic communications material. In addition, he or she should be able to effectively liaise with a client on a day-to-day basis. Media Relations •Generate coverage for press releases in the right media, based on an intimate understanding of the industry, media needs, and client objectives •Create accurate and relevant media lists for specific events or other engagement activities •Ideate, sell and generate coverage for media features as required by the PR campaign, based on an understanding of the media landscape and opportunities, industry trends, and client messages •Develop a basic media plan to support key engagement activities within the overall PR plan.
