The work you will do: We are seeking a qualified Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations for our Mumbai-based organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing robust financial controls, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic business decisions and transformation in a growing company environment. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian GAAP and applicable regulations Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and income tax filings Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and compliance requirements Maintain accurate books of accounts and supporting documentation Transformation This role will be the first finance appointment following an acquisition and will be instrumental in building out an India finance team from scratch. For a time we will be operating legacy systems but with a strong focus on integrating into our global ERP platform, Netsuite. Financial Planning & Analysis Partnering with global FP&A function to develop and monitor annual budgets and quarterly forecasts Prepare variance analysis reports and provide insights on financial performance Support management with financial modeling and business case analysis Monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations Internal Controls & Risk Management Design and implement internal control systems to safeguard company assets Establish authorization matrices and approval workflows Conduct periodic internal reviews and identify areas for improvement Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Cash Flow & Treasury Management Monitor daily cash positions and manage working capital requirements Prepare cash flow projections and coordinate with banking partners Oversee accounts receivable and payable management Manage vendor relationships and payment processing Team Leadership & Operations Lead a team of 2-3 junior finance professionals Provide guidance and mentoring to develop team capabilities Streamline financial processes and implement automation where possible Collaborate with other departments to support business operations Required Qualifications Education & Certification Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from ICAI Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field Experience ERP implementation 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles Prior experience as Assistant Controller, Senior Finance Manager, or similar position Experience in companies part of an International (US) group preferred Knowledge of Indian taxation laws and regulatory compliance Technical Skills Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Netsuite.)
