About the Role

AltEdge is looking for a results-driven and commercially strong Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing, vendor development, and procurement of industrial components and metal products. The role involves identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating competitive commercial terms, ensuring quality and timely delivery, and building a robust vendor network to support the company’s growing business requirements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial sourcing and procurement, a strong understanding of metal components, and excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Vendor Identification & Development: Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop reliable suppliers and manufacturing partners for industrial components and metal products.

* Strategic Sourcing: Manage sourcing and procurement of fasteners, flanges, pipes, steel products, and other metal components based on business requirements.

* Commercial Negotiations: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions to achieve competitive procurement outcomes.

* Cost Optimisation: Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing, and improved procurement strategies.

* Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliability, responsiveness, and long-term collaboration.

* Quality & Delivery Management: Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials meet quality requirements and are delivered on time.

* Vendor Evaluation: Assess suppliers based on pricing, manufacturing capabilities, quality standards, delivery performance, and overall commercial viability.

* Alternate Sourcing: Develop alternative supplier options to mitigate supply chain risks and improve sourcing flexibility.

* Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to understand procurement requirements, align sourcing activities, and support business objectives.

* Procurement Management: Maintain vendor records, quotations, commercial comparisons, and sourcing documentation to ensure transparency and effective procurement decisions.

Desired Candidate Profile

* 3–10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or vendor development.

* Relevant industry experience with fasteners, flanges, pipes, steel, castings, machined parts, or other industrial metal components.

* Strong negotiation, commercial evaluation, and vendor management skills.

* Good understanding of industrial supply chains, procurement processes, and supplier development.

* Ability to identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

* Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

* A proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on approach to problem-solving.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing business environment.
