You will be joining our architectural/MEP consultancy company, which offers a range of services to clients in the building sector. We are currently expanding our team and seeking an individual who has a strong background in Mechanical Estimation, Quantity Surveying, and Administration. This is a full-time remote work opportunity that offers a dynamic role with varied tasks. As a candidate, you will be expected to excel with minimal supervision, demonstrate decision-making skills, and exhibit a proactive approach to the following responsibilities: - Reviewing contractual documents, mechanical drawings, and specifications to determine material requirements - Submitting RFIs (Request For Information) when necessary - Conducting Quantity Takeoffs from mechanical drawings - Creating a spreadsheet detailing material quantity breakdowns To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Proficiency in reading and comprehending construction specification documents and architectural drawings - Ability to perform Quantity Takeoffs manually and using estimating software (training will be provided) - Experience with Excel and MS Word - Familiarity with Take-offs software is advantageous The ideal candidate will have: - A degree in Architecture, Mechanical, or a related field is preferred - A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to go above and beyond - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English This position is full-time and open to fresh graduates.
