Software Principal Engineer- BIOS Validation

The Software Engineering team is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge software application enhancements and new products to adapt to the ever-evolving world. As a Software Principal Engineer in Bangalore, you will have the opportunity to design and develop software for various platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics using advanced technologies, methodologies, and collaboration with internal and external partners. Your role as a Software Principal Engineer will involve developing sophisticated systems and software solutions aligned with the customers" business goals and needs, particularly focusing on developing BIOS/EFI firmware for Dell's Enterprise systems. You will work closely with a team of engineers to enhance Automation suite for Enterprise BIOS/UEFI FW using Python language, contribute to the architecture design, and automate Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) processes. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with an experienced team to develop and enhance Automation suite for Enterprise BIOS/UEFI FW using Python. - Contribute to the architecture design by conducting comparative studies and PoCs on available tools. - Automate CI/CD processes for Enterprise BIOS/UEFI FW. - Enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent - 10-12 years of experience in Automation development using Python - Proficiency in python testing modules (unittest, pytest, nosetest) - Experience in developing Automation Framework from scratch and using open-source frameworks - Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub, CI/CD Desirable Skills: - Automation Experience in BIOS/UEFI or Pre-OS Environment - Exposure to ELK framework - Knowledge and experience in JavaScript and HTML5 Join us at Dell Technologies, where we believe in the power of each team member to make a meaningful impact.
