Software Engineer - Reinforcement Learning

In this role at Anyscale, you will contribute to democratizing distributed computing and making it accessible to software developers of all skill levels. Anyscale aims to commercialize Ray, a popular open-source project that is instrumental in creating an ecosystem of libraries for scalable machine learning. Companies like OpenAI, Uber, Spotify, Instacart, Cruise, and many others already leverage Ray in their tech stacks to accelerate AI applications into real-world scenarios. With Anyscale, the primary focus is on creating the optimal environment to run Ray, enabling developers and data scientists to scale machine learning applications seamlessly. Key Responsibilities: - Develop high-quality open-source software to simplify reinforcement learning (RLlib). - Identify, implement, and evaluate promising new RL algorithms from the literature. - Enhance the testing process for RLlib to facilitate smooth releases. - Share your work with a broader audience through talks, tutorials, and blog posts. Qualifications Required: - Prior experience using RLlib or developing RL algorithms is essential. - Proficiency in Python and either PyTorch or Tensorflow is a must. - Enthusiasm for collaborating with customers who apply RL to their specific use cases. - Passion for contributing to open-source projects and sharing new features with the community.
