Software Engineer for Webex Developer Platform Microservices (Java)

As a Software Developer for Webex Platform Microservices, you will play a key role in designing and extending features to empower developers and partners. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the design and implementation of backend topics, experimenting with new technologies, and providing recommendations to enhance performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. - Collaborating with a team to define, design, and deliver new features. - Identifying and resolving bottlenecks and bugs. - Making software design decisions at the application level, considering software architecture topics for further unification. - Leading the implementation of technical and infrastructure initiatives to support architecture decisions. - Detailing and refining higher-level architecture decisions into lower-level designs. - Ensuring the team follows coding standards and architecture guidelines. Qualifications required for this role: - 2+ years of experience in software development. - Proficiency in Java, Spring, and RESTful APIs. - Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Maven. - Experience in implementing unit tests and ensuring maximum code coverage. - Proficient understanding of code versioning using Git. - Good knowledge of performance testing and optimization for space, memory, and speed. - Familiarity with continuous integration. - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and various design and architectural patterns. - Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java. - Ability to write clean, readable, and reusable code. - Experience with both external and embedded databases. - Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications. - Basic understanding of the class loading mechanism in Java. - Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes. - Basic understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds.,
