Software Engineer- Applied AI

Role:

Build intelligent applications and systems that leverage the latest advancements in AI to solve real world business and engineering challenges. We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about building AI-powered products, autonomous agents and intelligent workflows. In this role, you will work with large language models (LLMs), AI agents, workflow orchestration frameworks and modern software engineering technologies to develop solutions that can reason, interact with tools, automate complex tasks and streamline business processes. You will contribute to building end-to-end AI applications, integrating multiple systems and translating emerging AI capabilities into practical, production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Build agentic systems capable of reasoning, planning, using tools, interacting with external systems and executing multi-step tasks.
• Design and develop AI-powered applications, agents and workflows to automate complex tasks and business processes.
• Integrate large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Gemini and Claude into applications using APIs, function calling and structured outputs.
• Develop backend services, APIs and frontend components to build and deliver end-to-end AI-powered products.
• Work with agent orchestration frameworks, workflow automation tools and supporting infrastructure to build scalable and reliable AI solutions.
• Experiment with emerging AI techniques, frameworks and models to identify opportunities for building new capabilities and improving existing solutions.
• Develop evals and benchmarks to evaluate, monitor and improve the accuracy, reliability, performance and cost efficiency of AI-powered applications.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's from Tier 1 university (IIT D, IIT R, DTU (prev DCE), NSUT (prev NSIT), BITS Pilani) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, MAC or a related technical field.

Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript.

Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming and software engineering fundamentals.

Familiarity with backend development, REST APIs, databases and modern web development frameworks.

Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs and working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Gemini or Claude.

Familiarity with AI agents, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks and automation concepts.

Proficiency with Git and basic software development practices.
