Software Engineer 3- Telemetry

As a Software Engineer 3_Telemetry at Juniper, you will be part of the Software Development Engineering Team in the Automated WAN Platform Team. Your role will involve designing and developing new features in network telemetry for Juniper Networks MX and PTX series products. You will also be responsible for handling software issues reported in the telemetry area, debugging them, identifying root causes, articulating them clearly, and developing code to resolve them. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain code implementing telemetry features throughout the entire feature development lifecycle. - Understand customer network architecture and design to provide solutions for enhanced feature set, stability, or performance. - Provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers. - Act as a technical reference on Juniper Routing Platform Telemetry features for other Juniper Customer Support and Sales groups. - Analyze and report software defects to enhance conformance, stability, and supportability. - Design and implement network infrastructure automation using Python. **Qualifications Required:** - 4-7 years of experience in software development for public or private IP networks with exposure to customer interactions. - MS in Computer Science/Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent. - Proficiency in C/C++ programming in Unix-based systems, Kernel, and TCP/IP Network programming. - Experience in SNMP and telemetry technology features. - Familiarity with tools like GDB, Wireshark/Ethereal (tcpdump), IXIA Traffic Generators. In addition, preferred qualifications include knowledge or understanding of technologies such as SNMP, Yang Modeling, GPB, and routing or switching technologies like ISIS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSVP, LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN. You should possess multitasking skills, attention to detail, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Network industry certifications like JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE are a plus. A self-motivated and self-directed approach will contribute to your success in this role.,
