Software Development Engineer III - Backend Technologies

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for successfully delivering large-scale projects independently. This includes scoping, planning, designing, developing, testing, rolling out, and maintaining the projects. Your role will involve writing clean, concise, modular, and well-tested code, as well as reviewing code from junior engineers and providing constructive feedback. You will also contribute to building and maintaining documentation related to the team's projects and create high-quality, loosely coupled, reliable, and extensible technical designs. Additionally, you will actively participate in understanding trade-offs between different designs and applying suitable solutions to meet the requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Successfully deliver large-scale projects from scoping to maintenance - Write clean, modular, and well-tested code - Review code from junior engineers and provide constructive feedback - Contribute to building and maintaining project documentation - Create high-quality, loosely coupled, reliable, and extensible technical designs - Understand trade-offs between different designs and apply suitable solutions - Participate in the team's on-call rotation and lead issue resolution - Improve the health and quality of services/code through set practices - Lead cross-team collaborations for projects - Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing junior team members - Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team Qualifications Required: - 4-6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying small to mid-scale applications - 2+ years of recent software development experience - Good understanding of Golang - Experience with Go concurrency patterns and building reusable Go components - Strong experience in designing loosely coupled, reliable, and extensible distributed services - Knowledge of clean architecture, S.O.L.I.D principles, and event-driven architecture - Experience with message broker services like SQS, Kafka, etc. - Strong data modeling experience in Relational databases - Strong cross-team collaboration and communication skills - Self-driven with a passion for learning and problem-solving - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent education - Experience with NoSQL databases (Note: Additional details of the company were not included in the provided job description),
